Mr. Cyril Okoye

Secretary General, Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI)

Mr. Cyril OKOYE serves as the Secretary General of AADFI. His experience includes working with networks of development institutions across Africa and globally. He is a seasoned project manager and has led numerous capacity-building initiatives in the development finance sector. Prior to becoming Secretary-General, Mr. Okoye was the Training and Research Manager at AADFI. He also serves on the Board of Governors of the World Federation of Development Financing Institutions (WFDFI) and was the Secretary General of the Federation from 2020 to 2023. Mr. Okoye holds a BSc and a Master’s degree in Economics, along with a Master’s in Legal Studies. He has completed various professional courses. Additionally, Mr. Okoye is a member of the Turnaround Management Association(TMA).
