Dr Misheck Mutize is the Lead Expert on support to African countries on credit ratings agencies with the African Peer Review Mechanism. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in credit risk and a Master of Science degree in Finance and Investment from the University of Cape Town. He has published extensively in reputable journals on public debt, sovereign credit ratings and African economic development. Misheck has been involved in key roles, in several Continental Initiatives of the African Union and the African Peer Review Mechanism, contributing to policy development and advising governments and institutions on financial and economic strategies. His work often focuses on advancing sustainable economic practices and enhancing financial systems in Africa. He is also leading the African Union program on supporting to its member states to build capacity on credit ratings and the establishment of the Africa Credit Rating Agency.
