He is also, currently, a board chair of the Adehyeman Savings and Loan Company in Ghana. A former staff of the African Development Bank, Dr Mah\u2019moud was Lead Financial Economist and Acting Director of the then NEPAD, Regional Integration and Trade Department at the Bank. He was also for many years the Bank\u2019s focal person for the DFIs and, in that capacity, coordinated the Bank-AADFI study on \u2018Strengthening African DFIs\u2019 as well as the development of the AADFI Prudential Standards, Guidelines,&nbsp; and Rating System (PSGRS) for the DFIs.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior to joining the AfDB, Dr. Mah\u2019moud worked at various organizations, including the Policy Analysis Support Unit of the Organization of African Unity (now African Union) as Monetary Policy Advisor; the African Centre for Monetary Studies as Director of Research; and the International Monetary Fund as an Economist. He is the author of several publications and research pieces on monetary and financial management, financial integration and financial governance, as well as on various topics in development macroeconomic management.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Mah\u2019moud completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Ghana, Legon, and holds M. A. and Ph. D.
